What a wonderful event. Everyone so friendly and hospitable. Fantastic venue with great beer, fantastic food, brilliant bands and terrific trains! Thank you all so much for a great few days.. I’ll be be back!

Thanks to all of you involved in the tireless setup and not forgetting clearing up. We had a fabulous time and it’s a pleasure to be involved. We here at Blue Monkey will see you again next year.

What an amazing 3 days we have had at Rail Ale Festival 🙂... enjoyed it all 🎵🍻🍕. Well done to all the organisers and volunteers 🙂. Our "little" dogs had a blast meeting everyone and making people smile 🐾🖤 🐾🤍🩶 🙂.

OUR MOST ATMOSPHERIC VENUE

Barrow Hill Roundhouse is the last surviving railway roundhouse in the United Kingdom with an operational turntable.

Built in 1870, it was threatened with demolition in 1991 when the site was closed by British Rail. It was saved by a group of dedicated volunteers who have transformed it into a unique railway museum and events venue.
